Keep your home life organised

Household tasks in OurNestia gives couples a place to keep track of the practical jobs around their home. Use the module to make tasks visible and keep the conversation about what needs doing grounded in a shared overview. This section is part of the shared calendar.

What can you use it for?

Household work is easier to discuss when a task has a clear description. “Kitchen” may mean different things to each person; “clear the kitchen worktop” describes a smaller, recognisable job. Keep the list focused on useful actions rather than turning it into a complete inventory of your home. A shared view can support your agreements, while the decisions about responsibility remain yours.

A simple way to get started

1. Choose the household jobs you want to keep in view.

2. Give each task a description that makes the expected action clear.

3. Review the overview together and update it as your household needs change.

An everyday example

Friends are coming over at the weekend. You want to remember the guest bedding, the bathroom and a few things in the kitchen. Put the household jobs in their own module, keep shopping on the grocery list and place the visit in the calendar. Each part has a clear home without making one long, mixed list.

A place in your shared Space

Start with a handful of tasks and agree how you will use the overview. A short conversation about priorities can be more useful than adding more items. Keep broader home project ideas in notes, so everyday jobs remain easy to distinguish from plans for another time.

From first idea to everyday use

Everything you can do.

Explore the possibilities, step by step. See the app for availability and conditions.

A clear task

Give the task a short name, scheduled date and assignee. Use notes for extra instructions.

Set a recurring task

Choose recurrence for regular chores. Check the first date and who will do the task.

Understand the counts

The counts distinguish today or overdue tasks, upcoming tasks and completed tasks.

Overdue tasks

Today also includes unfinished tasks whose date has passed. A task does not disappear just because its date passes.

Look ahead

Open Upcoming to view future tasks and adjust assignments in time.

Complete and find tasks

Tick off a task when done. Find it afterwards under Completed.

Change date or assignee

Use the pencil beside a task to edit its details and save the change.

Remove a task

The bin removes a task after confirmation. Check the task name before confirming.

Household tasks

Good to know.

Is the module only for large cleaning jobs?

No. It is a place for household tasks, including the small practical jobs you want to remember together.

Does the app decide who should do what?

The module helps you organise household tasks. You make your own agreements about responsibility and the way you divide the work.

Where should a longer home project go?

Use household tasks for practical jobs and a notebook for longer ideas, measurements or background information. The two can support the same project.

More for the two of you.
