The OurNestia shared calendar brings dates, options and small notes together for couples. It helps you see which plans already have a place in the week and which details you still need to discuss.

What can you use it for?

Everyday planning includes both fixed appointments and possibilities. A dinner may have a time, while a weekend visit still needs a decision. Keeping options near the relevant day makes the uncertainty visible instead of turning every idea into a firm promise. A short note can explain what the other person needs to know without making the calendar title too long. Household tasks and pet planning have their own sections inside this calendar. Weather information accompanies your plans. The optional Google Calendar connection sends the internal calendar to Google; it does not import all Google appointments.

A simple way to get started

1. Open the day you want to plan and look at what is already there.

2. Add the relevant item or option and keep the description easy for both of you to recognise.

3. Use a note for the small details, then revisit the day together when the plan becomes clearer.

An everyday example

Suppose Friday already has dinner out and Sunday is still open. You can look at the week together, keep a possible Sunday activity as an option and add a note about what to bring. Longer ideas for the outing belong in notes or the dates module, while the calendar keeps the timing in view.

A place in your shared Space

A shared calendar works best when you agree what belongs in it. Start with the plans that affect both of you. You can keep broader ideas in notes and use limited family access for the calendar information you decide to share separately.

From first idea to everyday use

Everything you can do.

Explore the possibilities, step by step. See the app for availability and conditions.

Month view

Choose Month to see several weeks. The selected day has a coloured background; today is also marked.

Week view

Choose Week for more detail: each day lists planned moments and their times, plus any note.

Browse dates

The arrows move a month or week backwards or forwards, depending on your view.

Return to today

Today returns the calendar to the current date and selects that day.

Choose a day

Click a day to open its details. They appear on the right on wide screens and below the calendar on small screens.

Read the coloured timeline

The bar below a day shows when moments occur. Colours represent calendar options, custom blocks or pet plans. Overlapping moments may occupy the same part of the bar.

The N marker

An N means the day has a note. Select that day to read or change it.

Choose day options

Click an option to add it to the selected day. Several options can be active. Click again to turn an option off.

Fixed times and overnight stays

The description shows the configured times. An overnight option continues into the next day; an all-day option has no separate start and end times.

A custom time block

Open Add time block for a one-off moment on the selected day. Existing custom blocks for that day are listed here too.

A recognisable title

Enter a short title in the expanded form, such as Dentist or Walk together. Check the selected date first.

Start and end time

Enter From and Until for the block. The app validates your input when adding it; resolve any errors before continuing.

Google Calendar colour

Choose a Google Calendar colour in the form. For an existing block, use the colour selector beside the moment.

Save the time block

Click Add moment after filling in the form. Filling in the fields alone does not create a moment.

Remove a time block

Open the time blocks and use the bin beside the correct moment. Check the title: this button removes the moment immediately.

Write a daily note

Use the daily note for extra information. You can use up to 500 characters. The note saves automatically.

Pet plans in the calendar

Care moments for the day appear with the pet and time. Manage the plans in the pets module.

Weather for a day

When weather is enabled, available weather information appears for the selected day. Enable it per device in calendar settings and allow location access.

Upcoming days

Cards at the bottom show upcoming planned days. Click one to select the day and view its details.

Your calendar options

Open settings to add or edit options. Choose a name, icon, colour and type: timed, overnight or all day.

Organise and hide options

In settings, use the arrows to reorder and the eye to hide options. The pencil edits an option; archiving asks for confirmation.

Share deliberately with calendar viewers

Manage calendar viewer access through calendar settings. In calendar settings, choose which options calendar viewers may see. Daily notes remain private.

Connect Google Calendar

Open Google Calendar settings to connect an account, review available sync options and check connection status.

Shared calendar

Good to know.

Does Google Calendar sync work in both directions?

The optional Google Calendar export is one-way. Do not expect edits made in Google Calendar to automatically update OurNestia in return.

Can a plan include a note?

Yes. The calendar supports small notes alongside days and plans. Keep longer background information in a notebook when that is easier to read.

Is the calendar on the homepage our real agenda?

No. It is an interactive sample week. Choose a day and edit its sample note to explore the idea; it does not read or change your app calendar.

More for the two of you.
